Short Bio

  • Christos was born in Athens (1989).

  • He obtained his diploma degree in Applied Physics (2007-2012) from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

  • He carried out his thesis research at the Nuclear Institute of the National Center of Scientific Research (NCSR) “Demokritos” working on analog VLSI circuit design.

  • In June 2013 he started his doctoral work in microengineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Netherlands.

  • From January 2015 till March 2018 he continued his research activities at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland obtaining his doctoral degree in Photonics and Microengineering under the guidance of Prof. Bellouard. Members of his PhD committee included Prof. Vlassak (Harvard University) and Prof. Psaltis (EPFL).

  • As of September 2018 he works as a postdoctoral researcher at Brown University in the groups of Prof. Padture and Prof. Sheldon.
