Short Bio

  • Christos was born (1989) and raised in Athens, Greece. He obtained his diploma degree in Applied Physics (2007-2012) from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
  • In March 2018 he defended his doctoral degree in Photonics and Microengineering at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland where he worked under the guidance of Prof. Y. Bellouard. Members of his Ph.D. committee included Prof. J. Vlassak (Harvard University) and Prof. D. Psaltis (EPFL). During his doctoral studies, he spent 18 months at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Netherlands.
  • As of September 2018, he works as a postdoctoral research associate at Brown University in the USA. At Brown by working with Prof. N.P. Padture and Prof. B.W. Sheldon, he broadens his research skills in ceramics processing and explores problems related to the application of nanoceramics in energy storage. At the same time, he enriches his knowledge in applied mechanics by working with Prof. H. Gao.
